Special Education Period Underwear Initiative

Discovering suitable menstrual products can significantly impact individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, such as autism, intellectual disability, and cerebral palsy. Many of these individuals struggle with changes in routine and sensory sensitivities related to menstruation. Research indicates individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions often prefer period underwear due to its comfort and convenience. In response, Free Flow has launched its latest program, which aims to provide 5 pairs of period underwear to students in the Special Education program in Northern New Mexico. This initiative seeks to offer a practical and comfortable solution to menstrual care for these students, promoting their well-being and dignity.
